Tell Jersey City Council - No Giveaways to Private Developers!
Join the Hudson County Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO tonight, Wednesday, December 19, as we stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters from UNITEHERE as they tell the Jersey City Council, "No Giveaways to Private Developers."
Tonight, the Jersey City Council will vote on whether to support a private hotel developer, Tramz Hotels, in their effort to get $9.9 million in government grant and loan programs for the creation of a 300 room hotel on the Jersey City Waterfront.
UNITEHERE calls on the City of Jersey City to create real economic opportunities for Jersey City residents - not government handouts to private companies in exchange for low-wage jobs. Join us tonight at the Jersey City Council meeting at 6 pm at City Hall located at 280 Grove Street in Jersey City.
TAKE ACTION:
Call Mayor Healey at 201-547-5000 and tell him No Government Handouts to Tramz Hotels and to create real economic opportunity for Jersey City residents.
For more information, please call Anne Lessy of New York New Jersey Joint Board of UNITEHERE at 917-685-6812.
