The New Jersey State AFL-CIO congratulates International Association of Firefighters (IAFF) member Scott Evans on becoming the new Mayor of Atlantic City. Mayor Evans has been a union member since 1987 and is the former Vice President of Local 198. He also served as Battalion Chief. Atlantic City is one of the most highly unionized cities in New Jersey, so it is fitting to have a strong union leader as its Mayor. Again, Congratulations Brother Evans.
